An ash tree in our backyard has been slowly dying over the last couple years due to the invasive Emerald Ash Borer. I have slowly been cutting some of the limbs off. But the last two weekends I took on the task of bringing down the tree and disposing of it. This is no small feat for a keyboard banging cubicle dweller. Unfortunately I did not have the foresight to take a picture of the tree pre-destruction, but here are a couple after shots.
Most of my work during the week seems very abstract and difficult to quantify, especially to my kids. It is nice to have a large physical accomplishment on occasion. I hope I can get out of bed tomorrow morning.
